Collaboration and partnership working
As a Trust we adopt an innovative approach to building networks of equitable partners, and we are open to both formal and informal partnerships. To ensure that TVED continues to improve and influence outcomes for all young people with SEND, within an ever-evolving educational landscape, we maintain dynamic partnerships in which the values and objectives of the Trust are closely aligned with those of our partners.
To help us ensure that we are meeting pupils’ needs using the most appropriate and effective approaches, we are on a continuous journey of improvement, which has enabled us to build a network of professionals who are recognised as leaders and innovators within their field, providing expert and highly specialised advice and training for staff and trustees, children and families and our partner stakeholders.
Through our experience of delivering high quality educational provision for a wide range of SEND learners, in both special and mainstream settings, and our ongoing journey of evaluation and improvement, we have developed a broad range of partnerships, including other special schools, mainstream primary and secondary schools, area resource bases and mainstream and special multi academy trusts. Many of our current formal partnerships have evolved from Trust networked CPD and outreach work.
The breadth and depth of SEN skills and knowledge within the Trust allows all our partners to benefit from high quality CPD and support for educational development, provided by staff who have extensive operational and leadership experience in mainstream, additionally resourced provisions and special school settings. This network of professional development and support provides a strong sense of community and a tangible CPD platform for SEN professionals across the Tees Valley. Future partnerships will further develop existing CPD and outreach offers, through a Tees Valley MAT SEND Education Hub, which through collaborative working will increase and enhance the continuum of regional SEND support and provision.
Tees Valley Education MAT is actively seeking meaningful and relevant opportunities to further develop and grow the Trust through a range of partnership models/agreements, outreach and service buy back options.
